Updated: Mar 14, 2019

The N.Y. Guggenheim museum entrance is free for New York students.

The museum gives free access to students and staff of a New York university for a period of two years.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum has announced the free access to the museum for students and employees of five New York faculties at the City University of New York. From fall of 2018 until summer of 2020, students and staff from participating colleges: Brooklyn College, Hunter College, Lehman College, Queens College and the College of Staten Island - will be eligible to receive a ticket for two people on presentation of their student card.

This concerns nearly 85,000 students and more than 5,000 university employees. It was made possible thanks to a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

The access prices of the New York museum are usually 15 dollars for adults and 10 dollars - on presentation of their card, for students.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation is an international philanthropic foundation established in 1996, delivering grants to associations and organizations in culture, education and health. It has provided over 4,000 grants for more than $ 2.6 billion.
